The one about the German Tutor.

Okaye, so i had my first lesson with Ulrike(pronounced, Oool-ree-kay) last friday. She arrived at my doorstep, and the first thing she did was ramble about her medicinal stockings and such. Not yet used to her strong German accent, i just smiled and nodded, pretending i understood. Suddenly, she whipped out a pair of bright purple stockings from her bag, and wore them over her stockings, all the while announcing that the stockings were expensive. The lesson was alright, fun(Spaß!) in fact. We had a little exercise at the end of the lesson and since I'm taking conversational german, we practised errr..conversing.
Had another lesson today, and I finally found out what a schnitzel really was. We had another mock conversation, but it really consisted of her speaking really quickly in German, and me(mostly) trying to recall the phrases which were actually learnt by heart, and replying(not so quickly). I had trouble with a particular word 'Worum', where she kept emphsising i had to pronounce the 'r'(and went RRRRR). Problem was, i didn't hear an 'r' when she pronounced and i was basically copying her, so she was only satisfied when i added an exaggerated RRRRR. Other than that, she says i have good pronunciation. Whoo. Btw joyce, you are supposed to be a Verkauferin.
Wonder if she'll teach me german expletives, she used 'shit' in front of me. Heh.
